The Loggerhead Marinelife Center (LMC) was founded in Juno Beach, Florida, in 1981. The center’s mission is to promote the conservation of ocean ecosystems with a focus on loggerhead sea turtles.

The LMC began as a small turtle hospital that admitted and cared for sick and injured turtles. As the hospital grew, so did the scope of the center’s conservation efforts. Today, the LMC is involved in research, education, and advocacy programs to protect sea turtles and their habitats.
